learn 2’s table table playfully badtime story
Once, a boy named Ravi lived in a small village. Ravi was brilliant, but he had difficulty memorizing tables. Especially 2’s table. His mother would explain to him daily, but he would get bored and leave his studies to play.
One day Ravi’s school teacher, taught a game to all the children. He said, “Today we will learn a fun way to memorize words. For this, we will all play the game together!”
The teacher made all the children stand in a circle on the ground. Then he explained, “The name of this game is 2’s table Box. I will say a number and all of you have to say the next number loudly. Remember, this number should be from the 2’s table.”
All the children became curious. Teacher started:
“2”
The child shouted: “4” – The teacher said: “6”- The child shouted: “8”
The game was shown in the same way. The child who said the wrong number had to do a funny trick, like jumping three times or spinning in place
Ravi, who earlier always avoided learning tables, was now enjoying the game. He learnt the tables of 2 while playing. Slowly, he started trying on his own.
The teacher told the children small tricks related to tables to make the game more interesting. For example:- “Suppose you have packets of 2 toffees. If there are 5 packets, how many toffees will there be in total?” – The children said: “10 toffees!”

2 × 3 = 6
2 × 4 = 8
2 × 5 = 10
2 × 6 = 12
2 × 7 = 14
2 × 8 = 16
2 × 9 = 18
2 × 10 = 20
Mother hugged him happily.
Learning from the story
From this story, Ravi and the other children learned that studying is not boring if it is done in a fun way. Ravi had now not only memorized the tables of 2, but he also helped his friends to teach them.
Studying while playing can be easy and interesting for children. If your children also find a subject difficult, then teach them by turning it into a fun game.
